Programme Your Stroke For Absolute Precision

ArcMat’s (Technical side) stroke track contrast gives you a strong visual pathway within which to move your club whilst the sweetspot arc, stroke track & numbered face angle lines give complete guidance throughout the stroke.

By removing the sweetspot arc, face angle lines & square face setup line, ArcMat’s transitional side then becomes the perfect bridge between technical training & the natural appearance of the green.

Fine Tune Your Set-up For Consistent Results

The ball locator and face line ensure for correct alignment at set-up whilst the visual contrast between the bottom stroke arc & leading straight edge of ArcMat highlights how your arc appears relative to square.

FAQs
  • Which stroke arc is right for me?

The most common stroke tends to be Slight but there are a number of ways that you can check:
    1. Match the correct model to your putter:-
    Face-balanced putters: straight arc.
    Slightly toe weighted: slight arc
    More toe weighted: strong arc
(If you’re not sure then a quick internet search should be able to confirm the weighting in your putter.)

    2. By personal preference & feel.
If you prefer to rock your shoulders & swing straight back & through then opt for an ArcMat Straight. If you like to feel an exaggerated stroke arc then opt for ArcMat Strong. If you're anywhere in between the two previous beliefs then opt for ArcMat Slight.

    3. If you're still unsure then this way can be just as effective.
Simply ask a buddy to crouch down behind you whilst you make a few practice strokes and look to see if your stroke is straight, slightly arced or strongly arced.

  • How do I flatten out my ArcMat?

After removing ArcMat from the tube & gently roll it in the opposite direction until the ‘curl memory’ has sufficiently weakened and then place on it the ground with the technical side facing you.

ArcMat is required to be rolled for transportation purposes, and, whilst any rolled substrate is susceptible to ‘curl memory’, our extensive R&D testing & industry knowledge have ensured that we use very best material & most suitable material available.

N.B. We suggest that you store your ArcMat with the technical side facing outwards when placed back inside the protective tube.

    • What are the miss tolerances of the start line tees?

As with PuttPlate, ArcMat’s start line gate positions offer a 3.7mm, 2.7mm or 1.7mm clearance (either side of the ball), giving an approximate start line accuracy of 1.0, 0.75 or 0.5 degrees.

    1. Can I used my Driver with FatPlate Lite?

No! FatPlate Lite has been designed for use with irons only as it encourages a downward, descending strike as opposed to an ascending strike that’s required when hitting your Driver.

    2. Will FatPlate Lite help me to take a divot?

Yes! Whether it’s a shallow brush of the grass or an actual divot, using FatPlate Lite together with our Assisted Learning training guide & practice record and accompanying video series will bring your strike-point closer to the ball, giving you a pure, ‘ball then turf’ strike.

    3. Do the StrikeStrips have to be replaced?

Yes. StrikeStrips, however, are easy-peel so can be easily removed from the FatPlate when they become fully marked. Additional StrikeStrips™ are available from our website – www.fatplate.golf – in rolls of 250 or packs or 100 but as your ‘ball then turf’ skill level increases, you should mark the StrikeStrips less frequently
